Q: I haven't practiced Zen Meditation before, can I still come to the Centre?
A: Yes, however it is recommended that you attend the Introduction to Zen workshop before attending the Sunday morning or Tuesday evening meditation sessions. The Dharma Field Zen Center website has an excellent online introduction to Zen meditation. Steve Hagen's most recent book, Meditation Now or Never, provides a thorough description of Zen meditation, ideal for both beginners and seasoned practitioners.

Q: Do I have to call or join before coming to a sitting (meditation session)?
A: No. The Sunday morning and Tuesday evening sittings are a free community event and are open to all. However if you are new to Zen or meditation it is recommended that you attend the Introduction to Zen workshop before attending the Sunday morning or Tuesday evening meditation sessions.

Q: Is there a charge?
A: There is no charge to come to the Sunday morning or Tuesday evening sittings, however donations are welcome.

Q: Is there a qualified Zen teacher at the centre?
A: Yes. Bev Forsman, with the guidance of Steve Hagen of Dharma Field Zen Center, is the Teacher for the London Zen Centre.

Q: What should I bring?
A: Nothing! You do not need to bring your own cushions or seiza benches - all cushions and benches are provided.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Loose and comfortable clothing is suggested. We'll be sitting on the floor.

Q: Is the Centre open to everyone?
A: Yes, everyone is welcome.

Q: Where do I park?
A: There is parking in the driveway for about four cars and also along the east side of Waterloo Street about halfway up the block - check the signs. There is also plenty of street parking in the local neighbourhood. Again, check the signs.

Q: What is the closest bus stop?
A: About a half a block away at Cheapside and Waterloo.
