Introduction to Zen Class
You don't need to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to learn how to meditate. Learning to meditate is easy, it just takes some simple guidance, discussion, practice and a community to practice with. This class covers everything you need to develop a meditation practice in your life and also points to something even more fundamental - a way to experience and live in freedom and happiness, no matter what the circumstances of your life. Koan Group
Zen Koans have long been used to help us break free of ideas and paradigms, which we are often not fully conscious of, that imprison us. What usually results from working with Koans is unexpected joy, freedom and enlightenment.
Koan work is usually done privately with a Zen teacher. However in this workshop, using a process developed by John Tarrant Roshi of the Pacific Zen Institute, we work together as group to explore Zen Koans and we all share in the insights.
Since working on Koans with a group is an intimate experience the group size is restricted. Please register early since this workshop fills up fast (preference is given to LZC members).
